JOURNALIST VISA
Who are eligible to apply
An individual who is a foreign journalist of newspapers/magazines/TV or radio networks/ news agencies/ representatives of print, electronics or satellite media/freelance journalist want to visit Bangladesh for the purpose of collecting information/news or official duty, he /she is eligible to apply for Journalist visa.
Duration of journalist visa
A Journalist visa may be issued for maximum one (01) month with single/double/ multiple entries. Duration of stay in this category is as required in each visit.
Extension of visa
Extension up to three (03) years could be obtained from Department of Immigration and Passport (DIP) in Bangladesh.
Please note that the validity of the visa begins from the date of issue and not from the date of travel on your application form.
Documents Requirements
- Printed copy of duly filled in online VISA application form and signed accordingly.
- Recent passport size colour photo- 2 (Two) copies with white background.
- Original Passport (valid at least for six months) with photocopy of photo page.
- Filled in FF-I, FF-II and Equipment list form with signature.
- Invitation letter from the concern organization in Bangladesh.
- A letter from the Organization/Media House where the applicant is currently working.
- Declaration letter with the description of the purpose of shooting (story line), shooting spot and draft shooting schedule.
- Press card provided by concerned media organization.
