TOURIST VISA

Who are eligible to apply

A foreigner who wants to visit Bangladesh for the purpose of tourism or casual visit to meet friends & relatives or to join in a seminar/conference/workshop/study tour or religious purpose etc, they are eligible to apply for tourist visa. Except the mentioned purposes of the application, no other activity is permissible on a tourist visa.

Duration of tourist visa

A tourist visa may be issued for maximum three (03) months duration with single entry,

Extension of visa

Extension up to one (01) months could be obtained from Department of Immigration and Passport (DIP) in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Please note that the validity of the visa begins from the date of issue and not from the date of travel on your application form.

Documents Requirements

The following documents are required at the time of submission of your application:

• 1. Printed copy of duly filled in online VISA application form and signed accordingly;
• 2. Recent passport size colour photo- 2 (Two) copies with white background;
• 3. Original Passport (valid at least for six months) with photocopy of photo page;
• 4. Invitation letter from any Bangladeshi citizen along with the copy of his/her valid Bangladesh Passport or National ID Card / invitation letter from any Bangladesh organization / hotel booking confirmation.
• 5. Evidence that you can support yourself during your trip, such as last three month's bank statements or payslips.
• 6. Reservation of air ticket (if possible).
